Moms of Boys... welcome! (no need to wipe shoes)

When the ultrasound revealed that our second pregnancy would be a boy, I was ecstatic. After all, I had hoped our first child was boy, but clearly that was not in God's plan. (And so glad we were blessed with a girl.)

And then as the realization hit me that he was, indeed, very different from his sister, I knew I was in for a treat. From sleeping habits and eating, to toys and his cries, Noah was a different kid. Different, yet loved... in much the same way as his sister... but yet, in a very different way.

It's strange.  People tell you that when you have kids, you find your heart overflowing with love for them. And with each kid that is added to the family, your heart just grows and grows. You don't need to "make room" for another child's love... it's like God makes your heart grow.

Noah is 2.5 now and this is such an incredible stage. Talks in full sentences, loves bugs, trucks and dinosaurs, and still snuggles with me for a book at bedtime.  His favorite books?  Mercer Mayer's Little Critters, Where the Wild Things Are, and If You Give a Moose a Muffin...

As for me and my house blog... I'm a full-time working mom with a stay-at-home Dad as a husband. I coach sports performance for athletes, and kids and adult fitness classes, building confidence one child at a time. I blog, craft and tweet in my spare time. Oh, and I can often be found lifting weights.

My blog here talks a lot about being a working mom, the struggles, the successes and a community of like-minded moms who support and encourage each other. Of course a blog wouldn't be complete without the challenges of parenting, some cute kid pics and a sprinkle of recipes and fitness advice.  {Speaking of which, I'll be launching a new site for busy moms that is dedicated to giving short, sweet and highly effective workouts and fitness tips!  So excited!!}

Thanks, Mob Society Moms, for stopping by!!

Go Bears!

Your kids have different hair color, but when they both are smiling, they look a lot alike!

I love this age the best. They are chatty & adventurous, but can still be our little babies.
