The age old "I'm sooooo busy" statement.
I mean, seriously. I have 2 kids, a full-time, weird-hours job, a husband who I don't pay as much attention to as I should, and a bazillion things on my want-to-do list.
But what if I really tracked every minute of every day? Would I be as busy as I seem to be?
First, let's get the definition from Merriam-Webster...
Definition of BUSY
1
a : engaged in action : occupiedb : being in use busy>
2
: full of activity : bustling busy seaport>
3
: foolishly or intrusively active : meddling
4
: full of distracting detail busy design>
Alright then. There are definitely times I'm engaged in action, like coaching at work. And even replying to emails and phone calls. But the question begs... am I bustling or meddling or full of distracting detail??
There are certain hours of the day when I'm uber productive. My mind is focused and much gets accomplished. Other moments I'm full of distracting detail. But I don't necessarily think that's a problem. Only if you're supposed to be engaged in action and you end up meddling is that a problem.
We all need moments in our day where we are distracted. Where our minds can turn off. There's nothing wrong with that. As long as we know when those moments are.
To sum up my life... Sometimes I have four immensely busy days in a row when I feel like 24 hours just isn't enough, followed up by a weekend of not-so busy. I guess I'd say I'm happily in the middle.

It's always an ebb and flow isn't it?!
Very well written. I think it's a good thing to be in the middle, this seems to be how our life goes as well. I can't seem to change it. So might as well enjoy it!
I would LOVE to participate in today's topic but would you believe that I don't have time to write anything? I'm so sorry!
I enjoyed reading yours though. :)
