When work seems overwhelming, I suck it up. No really, I do.
I usually just keep truckin' along. I eventually get really exhausted and end up crashing on the couch at 8:00 one night. Like Sunday, I laid on my bed.... and fell asleep... for 90 minutes.... at 2:00 in the afternoon.
Perhaps this is a wake-up call for me. What should I do when work gets overwhelming??
Take a day off.
Get more sleep.
Spend some time in my Bible.
Have an afternoon to myself.
And the biggest one... ask for help. I'm horrible at asking for help. I usually bite my tongue and do it myself. I need to ask for help. And not just at work. At home too.
What do you do when work seems overwhelming?? Do you ask for a vacation? Do you escape for 5 minutes to sneak some chocolate?
1. When work seems overwhelming, I...
2. Little things I love

I'm with you Julia! Asking for help is usually the last thing on my mind when I'm stressed and overwhelmed! Studies have shown that people like to be asked for help. We should take advantage of that!!
I suck it up a lot of the time too. I do ask for help at home. There is just no way that I can do everything. Plus I let a lot of stuff slide. I figure there will always be time to do it later.
That was me to a tee at my old job. It was so chaotic that I had to just force myself to suck it up and deal with it. And thanks for yesterdays post...I changed my settings! :-)
Some times I need to remember to ask for help. I always is better when I do.
My job now is not nearly as stressful as my old job, but I started taking a couple of hours every now and then to just be by myself. I'd sleep in, I'd do grocery shopping...just something to take me away from the stress of work. Most times, I just sucked it up - but there were times when I needed those few precious hours to be by myself. :)
I hear you! Asking for help is one of the hardest things for me. But I'm always grateful when I do.
