Welcome again, people! Last week, we were pumped to have 15 link-ups! Let's try to make it to 20! As always, you can write about anything work related.... good, bad, venting, new job, new opportunity, etc. Or, follow one of the prompts below.
#1. what's your favorite way to de-stress after a busy day?
#2. Top 5 things you say to your kids (or spouse or boss or co-worker) on a daily basis.
I'm going to be bold and brave this week and do both of the prompts... gasp!
My favorite way to de-stress after a busy day is probably to do my scrap-crap (as my husband calls it). I love scrapbooking and card making and other stuff. Problem is when I come home, I typically write the next day's blog post and never actually get to said "de-stresser". Guess I should take my own advice and actually plan more posts ahead. Also, a good hot, shower with my husband's home-made sugar scrub (insert amazing Husband "Wow" here) is an amazing way to de-stress.
Now... the top 5 things I say to my kids on a daily basis... aye, aye, aye... only 5?? Ok...
#5. "Noah, sit nice." (That boy is seriously always standing on the couch, turned sideways in his booster seat or doing some other crazy trick.)
#4. "Hannah, you need to share." (This girl thinks that she can just take a toy from Noah at her own will. Although, she is getting sneaky... she will take the toy away and replace it with some other random toy. Sometimes he doesn't mind and sometimes he just gets angry.)
#3. "No, Hannah, I don't know where your XYZ is. Where did you put it?" (She could set something down and 5 minutes later ask me where it is. And when I find it (because I'm SuperMom and have Super Senses) she says, "Ohhhh... Silly me.")
#2. "Please finish eating. No, you can't have anything else. That's our dinner and that's it." (Yep, I'm probably a mean Mom, but I think we give our kids, especially Hannah, a decent choice at mealtimes and if she doesn't want any of it, then that's it. I'll keep the dish out and if she's hungry later, she can eat it. If not... sorry. My philosophy is that kids will eat when they are hungry. And it's true.)
#1. "I love you, Sweetheart (Hannah). I love you, Baby (Noah). (I seriously can't get enough of my kids. Sure, there are days when I can't wait for bedtime or I long for the whining to start. But the love for my kids surpasses all things. I'm a hug-giving, smother-with-kisses Mama and I do it all day long! And I'm proud of it!)
Now, grab the button, link up and be sure to visit each other's blogs! I always hear wonderful working mommy stories! You gals are a great support system... keep it up!
