Baby Dipper: Review and Giveaway

UPDATE: winner has been notified! Thanks for entering!

Recently, I was able to review the Baby Dipper Bowl set. Barbara was so sweet and wonderful to work with. You see, she's a mom of 4, two sets of twins... yes, TWO sets of twins. When her first set of twins were eating solids, she found that feeding them was tricky. She couldn't find a bowl that didn't slide around (since she was feeding one-handed) and was easy to get every last drop out of. So, she envisioned the Baby Dipper.

Here are the special features of the bowl/spoon set, straight from their site (parenthesis added by me):

*Contoured interior guides food to spoon - (it's triangle and sloped shape keep all the food in one spot.)

*Spoon fits in lower corner of bowl - (making it easy to get every bite.)

*Non-slip base helps prevent sliding

*Transparent sides allow easy viewing of food

*Phthalate-free and lead-free - (VERY important to your baby's health!)

So, what did I think of the Baby Dipper? Let me tell you!

The non-slip base is great. I really can just use one hand to feed baby. I can scoop the food without the dish sliding around. The spoon really does fit great into the corner of the bowl and it really does make it easy to keep all the food in one corner. The slightly sloped shape is great because, again, you really can get all the food.

I opted not to use the spoon it came with for Noah. The spoon is deeper than most infant spoons and since he's not big on solids to begin with, I went with the typical soft bite spoon so I could just put a tiny bit of food on the spoon.

My todder daughter did use the Baby Dipper spoon and it worked great. I used the bowl set a few times with her and I like it, even for toddlers, because it's the perfect serving size for them. Whether it be yogurt, applesauce or jello, it's the perfect sized cup for her! I haven't used any other bowl with Noah yet. Every time I've given him solids, it's been in this bowl set. I really do like it.

Barbara at Baby Dipper was gracious enough to offer a Baby Dipper bowl set to one of my readers! All you have to do to enter is leave a comment, letting me know WHO would be using this lovely bowl (your baby? a baby on the way? a gift?). For extra entries, you can:

It seems like I've seen these somewhere and thought they would be great to have! We'd use them for our 5 month old who will soon be starting on purees and I think they'd be great for our 3.5 year old too when he eats things like applesauce and yogurt!
